I’ve completed the sanding on the middle section of the deck. It is amazing how a collection of wood strips suddenly start to look like part of a boat as they merge together when you sand them. Sanding does create a lot of dust but the result is very gratifying.

No photos on this update but the first stage of the deck is complete. I now need to sand and fill the middle section of the deck with epoxy before adding the wings and the gunwale. I’ll then tidy up the bow area and then I’ll be ready to fibreglass the top of the deck.
